Our mission is to free clients from the burden of manual investment data management. Development of Canoe’s proprietary technology began in 2013 by a group of sophisticated investors focused on alternative and illiquid strategies. We realized that it was difficult, costly and time consuming to manually track all our own investments, so we decided to automate it. The idea for Canoe began within a Private Investment Firm, where they believed that there had to be a better way to manage the documents and data associated with alternative investments, and built technology to reduce manual entry.
